Sunday Stealing: A Fall Meme

Autumn is my second favorite season next to winter. And although we don’t have it here in the Philippines, I’m so game in participating in this meme. I actually love this one!

Today we ripped this meme off a blogger called Bikramyogachick from the blog 60 Day Bikram Yoga Challenge. She explains that this meme was written by the Restaurant Refugee. Hannah posted it on her blog, which is where she discovered it. So we have another relatively “virgin” meme. So we have no need to even explain that we don’t trace back origins of a meme! Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Sunday Stealing: A Fall Meme

It’s not really fall in until…
**You feel that crisp cool breeze in the air.

What did you need to do in the waning days of summer for it to feel complete?
**Summer here in the Philippines was kinda short. I’m not a summer person so it just slipped by just like any ordinary day.

A person I know was wrong for me but about whom I frequently thought after a break-up was…
**someone my best friend knows. Let’s just leave it at that.

If you could only attend one major sporting event what would it be?
**An F1 race.

Assuming that you write an anonymous or partially anonymous blog, by what non-physically identifying characteristics might you be identified in a bar?
**Someone feisty and a bare all person.

Most blogs cover some sort of niche – personal, political, dating, culinary, etc. What topic, if any, would you like to address on your blog but doesn’t fit into your niche?
**Although I can write about it at certain times, my political views are rather kept to myself most of the time.

If you could manipulate the time space continuum and give as many as three pieces of advice to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give and to what age of you?
**I’d tell my 18-year old self not to go out with the guy just because he spread the word that you and him are already an item so that she wouldn’t fall into the trap of going out with an abusive partner.

Who among your friends do you really wish had a blog because their stories, or perspective on something ought to be shared?
**Probably my best friend.

If you were to take an e-cation (vacation from the trappings of our electronic world,) and assuming that employment obligations would allow it, how long of a break could you take? What would you miss the most, the least?
**I’m so dependent on technology. I don’t think I can take a break from it. I’ll miss my internet stuff and the least I’d miss would be chatting as I have retired from it. LOL!

On September 11th of this year, I attended a couple of parties and was somewhat conflicted by the fact that this ignoble anniversary shall pass with it being just another day in the eyes of many (and in some ways my own eyes as well.) Thoughts?
**It’s okay. I guess we all have to move on after such an event.

How high are your walls? Who was the last person to scale them? What tools should would-be climbers have on their belt?
**It’s not as high as the others. I guess ordinary tools would be okay to use.

The sexiest thing a man or a woman can say to you (or has said to you) is:
**I really can’t remember anymore. But I guess if someone would tell me that I’m as sexy as my curvaceous figure (like flabs and all) then I guess that would be sexy. LOL!

Weekly Wrap-Up

In the past week, have your contemplated your purpose or other deep, meaningful thoughts?
** It was surreal to witness something I really didn’t want to see – the wrath of Mother Nature just this morning. It made me realize how life has become shorter over the years. In just a couple of hours, we can lose everything that we have, even our own lives. I personally believe that I haven’t found my purpose in life yet and I just hope that I’ll be given more time to do what I have to do and find my purpose.

Do you think you have a purpose? Do you want to have one?
** We all have a purpose in this life and I am looking forward to finally get to know what that is.

Do you ever think about the meaning of life, the universe and everything (beyond yourself)?
** I think we all do, one way or the other.

How do you deal with the questions that have no answer?
** These are probably the mysteries of life. And because they are mysteries, I’d rather leave them at that.

Full Day

This is the last day of my 2-day unpaid leave of absence. I accomplished a lot today but I’m too tired to write about the details.

I guess if there’s one thing I’d like to talk about, it’s the growing pimple on my chin. I just hope it doesn’t grow into a full-grown thingy because it’s really hard to get rid of acne. Yeah you read it right: zits are as good as acne already, at least for me. LOL!

I’m too tired to make more sense into this conversation so I’m calling it a night. I have another early day tomorrow. And it’s back to work. Oh well, that’s the cycle of my life.

Another holiday

It is another declared holiday today and our Muslim brothers and sisters have a very good reason to celebrate because of the end of Ramadan.

I had another trip to the emergency room earlier today. While in the bathroom, I tasted blood in my mouth and soon after I was already spitting out volumes of blood off my mouth. Panic was there but I had to calm down so as not to aggravate the bleeding.

Papa accompanied me to the ER and there I was diagnosed to have palatal abrasion. I was given a glass of ice chips and was instructed to be on ice cold soft diet until the abrasion heals. I was also advised to stay away from hot or warm food items and subject myself to the hot environment so as not to aggravate the abrasion.

I’ll still be on leave tomorrow as my Dad and I fix some things up. I am looking forward to some things this week that I hope would yield good results.

Enjoy the rest of the week and I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend.

The Big Apple

I haven’t been to the US and it’s actually a dream of mine to go to the Big Apple, the city that never sleeps, New York.

I am no movie reviewer so I will leave the reviews to the experts. It’s been a while since I last watched a movie in an actual cinema so despite the rains we hurdled, the traffic we had to endure going to the cinema was well worth it. I can compare the feeling ecstatic feeling to those who hire New York accident lawyers for their accident claims and they eventually win. I felt like a big winner upon arriving at the cinema, getting some good seats, yummy movie snacks and having great company to enjoy the movie with.

For the nth time, I was able to experience The Big Apple last Wednesday. Together with 2 friends/colleagues of mine, we watched as Mark, Noel and Shirley bared their lives in front of us through In My Life.

I like watching Vilma’s movies, though I’m no certified Vilmanian. I do love John Lloyd and Luis? Well, I’m really not a fan but I think I would like to see him do more of the serious roles on screen.

The movie started out with some dragging scenes but they were able to catch my attention slowly after the first 30 minutes or so. I mostly laughed my way through the movie with certain moments making me teary-eyed. There was a surprising twist that made me shout “BOO!” but I will not spoil the movie for you.

It was a well spent 2 and a half hours in the cinema. As for the promise of The Big Apple coming my way, well, probably, I would need to watch a hundred more movies set in NY before I’ll be able to set foot on those places.

For those who haven’t watched the movie, here’s the full trailer from Star Cinema’s official YouTube channel

Weekly Wrap-Up

Here’s my Weekly Wrap-Up for this week:

In the last week did you get dirty (Earthy dirty, that is) at all?
** Good thing, NO! 🙂

Do you mind being in a dirty setting or do you prefer being clean and neat?
** Being in a dirty setting is a good thing once in a while.

What’s the dirtiest thing you’ve ever done?
** I painted and worked on an old warehouse.
