Is it time?

Last night there was another discussion as to whether or not my siblings in the US will be going home for the meantime or not. It has been a source of arguments and talks for the past couple of weeks and there’s still no definite plan about them yet.

There are always pros and cons to any and every decision that needs to be made. Weighing them is a dilemma because sometimes you would need to go with what’s necessary and practical rather than with what’s the best. The best isn’t always the proper and the right thing with a situation. This is difficult but a decision needs to be made soon.

For now, Papa and I settled on just looking for flight deals that we may be able to afford to bring the 3 girls home. We’ll see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Problems have solutions as they’re not mysteries. This is still a blessing from God after all.

Thursday Thunks: Stupid Questions by Kimber

Here’s a new and cool meme I found while browsing.

Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

We pick a subject, and your job is to interpret it anyway you want.

Write about it on your blog… simple as that.

Maybe you can interpret it as a picture – we don’t care!

Please only leave a link if you have written a Thursday Thunks post.

Don’t forget to go visit the other participants’ blogs.

Read and comment about all their Thursday Thunks responses!

That’s what all this is about after all, isn’t it?

We’ll have so much fun and become lifelong friends….

The TT questions are brought to you by Kimber, the color of absolute black granite and the number 16.

101. When was the last time you went to the doctor? Do you like your doctor?
** In August when I had a major migraine attack. I don’t like doctors in general but since I’m a sickly being, I’m forced to see them on a regular basis.

201. My back is itching, will you scratch it for me?
** Why not?

301. Do you have nice handwriting?
** Well, it’s legible.

401. We are sending you to either New Zealand or Canada, which one do you choose?
** Canada. New Zealand is a second choice for me.

501. Do you sing in the shower?
** Sometimes.

601. Have you ever been streaking? If so, how far did you streak and did anyone see you?
** What does streaking mean?

701. How soon is too soon for Christmas decorations and music playing in the stores?
** Here in the Philippines, the Christmas spirit starts kicking in when the “ber” months start. So that’s September.

801. If you celebrated Halloween as a kid what was the costume you wore at 5?
** I don’t remember celebrating Halloween. It’s not really a well-followed tradition here.

901. How many cavities have you had in your life?
** 5 when I was little then that’s it.

1001. Berleen and Bud come to Arizona to visit Kimber. Who do you think will decide it’s too hot here first?
** Hmm, I don’t know any of them. But I’ll make a wild guess…Bud?

1101. Who do you think will ask TT questions next week?
** Anyone who’s interested in getting their questions posted.

Wednesday Wickedness: Paul McCartney

1. “George wrote Taxman, and I played guitar on it. He wrote it in anger at finding out what the taxman did. He had never known before then what could happen to your money.” No one likes paying taxes. But do you think the tax system is fair?
** Taxes are fine by me for as long it’s used properly and wisely and it doesn’t go into the pockets of the corrupt people in government.

2. “I definitely did look up to John. We all looked up to John. He was older and he was very much the leader; he was the quickest wit and the smartest.” What did you think of John Lennon?
** He was cool!

3. “I saw that Meryl Streep said, I just want to do my job well. And really, that’s all I’m ever trying to do.” How do you approach your job whether in the workplace or at home?
** I always aim to do my best when I work.

4. “I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird.” Have you found that you have more tolerance for unusual people as you get older?
** Yeah. But it does have its limits though.

5. “I don’t take me seriously. If we get some giggles, I don’t mind.” How seriously do you take yourself?
** I don’t take myself seriously. But I guess it’s about time that I do so whenever I can.

6. “I think people who create and write, it actually does flow-just flows from into their head, into their hand, and they write it down. It’s simple.” Does your blog writing just flow from your head, or is it a lot of effort?
** It just flows from my head. Speaking from experience, it’s hard to write when you put too much effort into it.

7. “Think globally, act locally.” Do you do anything to help your local community?
** I segregate my trash, as much as I could. I follow traffic rules. I don’t disturb my neighbor. These may be trivial but it can do a lot for the community…I think.

8. “When you first get money, you buy all these things so no one thinks you’re mean, and you spread it around. You get a chauffeur and you find yourself thrown around the back of this car and you think, I was happier when I had my own little car! I could drive myself!” Have you ever had a period where you felt that you were set financially?
** Yes. But more often than not, I’m not.

9. “Lyricists play with words.” Do you think what you write on your blog is clever or just ordinary and why?
** It’s probably just ordinary. Because my life is ordinary…at least it is for me. I may write about rustic furniture because I think it’s a cool piece to have but for some this may already be extraordinary because they are more fascinated than I am with it. I guess it’s just a matter of perception and understanding of what one reads from my blog.

10. “Where I come from, you don’t really talk about how much you’re earning. Those things are private. My dad never told my mum how much he was earning. I’m certainly not going to tell the world. I’m doing well.” Who in your circle knows how much money your family makes?
** Probably just me.

Happy Wednesday!

The emotional eater

For the past couple of weeks, I found myself eating more than the usual. Since I’m alone most of the time, I find comfort in the fact that I have something to munch on whenever and wherever I want to.

Yes…I’m an emotional eater.

The recent events in my life has led me to go back to doing bad habits and thinking serious negative thoughts. It’s not really my nature but I guess there are times when you just have to give in to make you feel better.

I’m not happy with the way I’m conducting myself nowadays. I’m easily annoyed and I easily get angry with even the most trivial things. My patience has thinned out on a lot of stuff too. As for my emotional eating, I don’t think even the best fat burner can convince me to stop it for the time being.

I eat more because I feel different. This isn’t the real me nowadays and to be honest, I do miss the happy me that I’ve always been. I need to snap out of this soon. I have to do something and not just think it.

In time, I know I’ll be back.

Monday Mayhem #40: Ten Anyone? Meme

Here’s a new meme I’m participating in. 🙂 I probably have answered a few of the questions below but anyway, have fun reading!

1. Why do you blog?
** I blog because it’s my way of expressing my thoughts and feelings. It’s also my way of getting to know people from all over the world through blogs and memes like this. It de-stresses me. I get to read a lot of interesting things as well through those who connect to me through their blogs.

** (01) Meeting my best friend, Pam.
(02) Living in Canada.
(03) My first boyfriend whom I’m still friends with until now
